When it comes to furnitures, I always prefer to have modern furniture but also have a taste on European furniture. Casino EspaƱola, an entertainment establishment just beside Instituto Cervantes en Manila, has a great collection of European furniture. Taking pictures within the premises of the so-called "international territory" is prohibited so I'm sorry if I can't put any.
If you'll choose such articles in your home, make sure that they go well with the general furnishings you have at home. You just can't put all of them in one place and hope that your house will look better in a heartbeat. Proper choice of type of furniture and a little bit of interior design knowledge will go a long way in changing how every inch of your home will look like.
The Internet is a huge library where you can find simple and basic interior design ideas. You don't have to spend huge amount of money just to learn the rudiments of this art. Your friends are also a good source and also a bit of your personal judgement. See what goes well and not; ask people and the people you live with in the house.
Having a house designed in such a way that is approved by everybody adds harmony and helps maintain peace in the house. There's no point in putting all these furnitures when people in the house don't appreciate it, isn't?
