I have been blogging for five years now. But just like everybody else, I share some of the biggest flaws in setting up this website. From someone who doesn't know much about Internet and HTML, my blog back then was so messed up adding to the fact that I don't even know how to come up with a best theme and topics to discuss on my blog.
Now that I was able to improve on some aspects about blogging, I learned just how important Web Design and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) could do to a site. It can either ruin or support your aim to drive traffic or readership to your blog. You should remember that your blog design should coincide with the kind of business you run or the kind of topic you discuss.
Another aspect of increasing your blog readership is making your site searchable through some of the biggest names in search engine: Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc. Although I am not an expert, through frequent blogging and reading and my knowledge in technical writing, I have learned the rudiments of writing the SEO way. SEO-friendly sites attracts readers and drives traffic to your site by making search engines find your site better than others. It helps your site perform than anybody else.
