Happy All Saints' Day

We had a very peaceful and very dry holiday over the weekend. Its been raining for the past months in the Philippines and the people were very happy to see that the weather cooperated and let the people pray for their departed loved ones in the cemetery.

The Filipinos consider November 1 (All Saints' Day) as a time for family get-together. My mom whose departed parents were in the far south of the Philippines was not able to visit her hometown for fear of landslides due to the many storms that passed by the country for the past month.

I'm in total hibernation right now and I thank the long weekend for a total rejuvenation. In fact, I had a massage at a spa a few blocks away from our apartment. I hope my blogger friends in the West had a wonderful Halloween.
