Cioccolo Restaurant at Friendship, Angeles City

Restaurant Name: Cioccolo Restaurant and Cafe
Location: Friendship, Angeles City

Before my boss announced that she'll be leaving for the US to be with her boyfriend in Maryland, she took us to Cioccolo Cafe, resto a few kilometers from Clarkfield. It's a simple cafe situated next to Grand Palazzo Royale, a business with grand and luxurious function halls. So far, I've attended two major events - one wedding and one debut in there and they're fun!

Cioccolo Cafe offers almost the same kind of coffee variants found in any coffee shops. There are unique choices though and they taste good. I was hoping though that they add more varieties to the existing coffee variants they have in the site. But overall it was a good experience.

If you're looking for a not-so-crowded coffee shop, this is the place to go. Its not as accessible as other coffee shop and you'll need your own car to get there comfortably. I think the jeepneys that run along the Friendship gate route can help you get there, too.

We ordered a few of their specialties. The calamares and buffalo wings are great. They're a must try. The price? From coffee to finger foods, it runs from PhP100 - PhP200 (approx USD$2 -$4).

Visited just last week.(2/11/10)

The service was "blase'". When I entered and seated myself, I wasn't even granted a "Hello".
It took a few minutes before the staff decided to bring me a menu.
I ordered the "Salmon fillet with Bernaise Sauce".
When it arrived, the center of the fillet was RAW and the "sauce" they nappe'd on it wasn't remotely Bernaise. It was only melted butter with a squirt of lemon.
Someone in the kitchen might be required to go back to cooking school. The staff was uninterested as well. It didn't bother them in the least that my fish was raw. They didn't care to ask if I wished for it to be recooked properly. What a waste of 350+ peso.
