Cory Aquino Dead at 76

The former Philippine President (11th), Corazon "Cory Aquino", died yesterday (August 1, 2009 at 3:18 a.m). She died of cardiopulmonary arrest as a complication to her colon cancer. She was was diagnosed of having colon cancer on March 2008.

The Philippines owes the restoration of democracy to Cory Aquino when she became president after the former President Ferdinand Marcos was removed from office due to People Power Revolution.
