Corazon Aquino's Interment a Special Non-Working Holiday

Corazon AquinoThe President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared August 5, as a special non-working holiday (Proclamation No. 1851) to pay respect to an outstanding leader, crusader, wife, and a mother Corazon "Cory" Aquino. The president will even offer mass to show just much she respect the former leader who had participated in various political movements in the past. I think that its the right thing to do no matter how much differences they may have in terms of their political views. Every leader deserves respect.

Tomorrow will be Cory Aquino's interment. The whole nation salutes the former leader who gave the nation pride and national identity after Ferdinand Marcos'regime. I hope that she was able to inspire men and women in the public office to follow her her many good examples.

Tomorrow is a HOLIDAY. *hooray* :P

Kidding aside, I do hope that as we have Pres. Cory's burial, her ideals won't be buried as well.
