Reading from the latest news, I learned that Cory Aquino's son, Nonoy, told the media that her colon cancer spread to other parts of her body. This is a very sad news not only for the family of Former Philippine President Cory Aquino but for the entire country as well. Many people consider her as an icon of democracy because of her involvement in various movement to restore the spirit of people power whenever she sees that the civil government is starting to take advantage of people's weakness.
The Aquinos were an instrument to the restoration of democracy in the Philippines since Marcos regime. Cory did live her life well. Let us give Cory Aquino the necessary support now that she is near the end of her journey; the journey we call life.
